Your first task is to watch a short film about the history of Ireland. Listen carefully because there are questions along the way. If you cannot remember what was said, you can rewatch the sequence. You can watch the original, without questions, here.
Your second task is to listen to the National anthem of Ireland. Compare this national anthem with the Swedish one and submit your comparison via Vklass in the task "Ireland". Name the document "National Anthem". Do not forget to write your name in the header of the document.
Your third task is to read an article called Ireland's Easter uprising in pictures, which you can find in Vklass. There are tasks to be done, please answer in the article and submit it in Vklass in the task "Ireland". Name the document "Easter uprising". Do not forget to write your name in the header of the document.
Your fourth task is to read an article about Ireland's general election, which you can find in Vklass. There are tasks to be done, please answer in the article and submit it in Vklass in the task "Ireland" - if possible otherwise just submit it in English 7. Name the document "General election". Do not forget to write your name in the header of the document.
There are a few Irish words which might be difficult to pronounce. You can find the pronunciation in writing here, or you can search on youtube to hear the words pronounced.
Your fifth task is to read the Irish poems linked below and answer the following questions:
1. What is each poem about?
2. Which poem do you prefer? Why? Refer to the poem when explaining your opinion.

- Oral and written production and interaction in different situations and for different purposes where students argue from different perspectives, apply, reason, assess, investigate, negotiate and give reasons for their views.
- Strategies for using different types of sources, with source-critical awareness and established ways of citing sources within the chosen specialisation area and in other areas.
